I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Chief Operating Officer will have full authority and responsibility for creating the organization’s operational plans/programs and for ensuring their successful implementation.
Operational areas include strategic planning, Ministry Partnership Development, Marketing & Sales, Operations and Information Technology.
The Chief Operating Officer works with the CEO to empower staff growth, a true Christian outreach, and the organization’s prosperity.
II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
A. STRATEGIC
PLANNING
1. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for developing the organization's operational plan for the current fiscal year, as well as a 3-year view of future growth.
2. Strategic positioning of the organizations and its products and effective communication of the essence of the products to the business community.
3. Responsible for the operational focus as well as the integration of operational areas.
B. Marketing & Sales
1. The Chief Operating Officer is involved in new product strategies along with market research and trend analysis to establish new benefits and products.
2. Responsibilities include market penetration strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies as well as enhancements in the field.
3. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for distribution strategies, design, and management.
4. Appropriately position the organization's products
in the marketplace.
5. Responsible for designing and implementing an overall advertising and promotions plan.
6. Responsible for generating sales from the company’s products/services to solidify the product's position as a dominant force in the marketplace.
8. As products become available, develop effective sales tactics to penetrate accounts by leveraging strategic partners as much as possible.
C. OPERATIONS
MANAGEMENT
1. Set individual as well as team operations quotas.
2. Monitor goals and objectives. Hold team accountable to forecasts and insist on pro-activity in the marketplace.
3. Ensure that goals and needs of individual staff members are being met.
4. Ensure monthly and/or quarterly meetings to help educate and train the team on professionalism, for encouragement and reporting.
D. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Responsible for the continued provisioning of the Information Technology of the organization including:
Website Development
Remote communications
Internal workstation/Server
Telephone Systems
E. MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
1. Development of the overall strategy to fund the ministry.
2. Implementation of the strategy such that the ministries growth is not hampered by the lack of personnel.
III. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Chief Operating Officer reports to the CEO.
IV. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Operation plans are integrated successfully.
2. Execute operational programs, which will take the organization to businesses throughout the country.
