Have you heard about SAS?
Have you
heard about SAS? The billion-dollar software company, which has a 3% employee
turnover rate and an unbroken string of 24 quarters of increased profits. This
private company has a 35-hour workweek, free medical benefits, and free child
care to name just a few. So is it altruism or good business.
I
think it’s a bit of both. For example, the medical benefits are available
on-site. Therefore a normal 2-3-hour office visit gets cut down to 30 minutes.
And
because parents don't have to deal with childcare problems offsite and have the
"peace of mind" knowing their child is just downstairs, their focus
increases productivity.
The
CEO lives in North Carolina (sounds like a Christian to me) but whatever
He
is or wherever he lives is not important at this point. What's important
is
that he is putting others before himself...and that investment always
pays
good dividends!
What does God’s word have to say.
Phil 2:2-4

then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love,
being one in spirit and purpose.
3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider others better than yourselves.
4
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the
interests of others.
