Subject: my background

I was borne in Chicago, Ill. In 1939. I grew up in a non-Christian environment. My mother was Catholic and my father was undeclared. Because of that, I believe they were excommunicated from the Catholic Church. When I was about 16 I was invited to sing in a church choir (my high school choir director made it all to clear that if I expected to get a good grade in high school, I better sing in the church choir.) After a year of that, I moved on and decided that I liked singing in the choir and went to another church to sing in their choir. I got baptized with my father, not fully understanding what this meant but somehow sensing God's call on my life.

While attending Purdue, I met a wonderful gal named Judi (now my wife of 43 years) and because of circumstances we would go to church because it did not look like a date. After we got married and moved to California, Judi felt is was a good thing to take the kids to Sunday school. I grudgingly went along with her. I wrestled with him intellectually, emotionally, and willfully. To make a long story short after approximately 25 years of wrestling with God, I gave up my will for His in July of 1986. and  God is faithful, he has kept every one of His promises to me.

On January of 1990, Judi and I attended a Life Purpose seminar put on by CBMC  with Joe Coggeshall as the speaker. After 3 months of working through the process, God's vision for our lives was revealed to us to be:

We want to help business & professional men and women find purpose and meaning in their lives. Then they can influence many others .
