Are you facing the insurmountable project. Like David and Goliath. David was just a young shepherd boy and Goliath was a giant of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall. Last time we talked about in step 3 - overcoming insurmountable obstacles - REJECT THE DISCOURAGEMENT OF OTHERS This time we will talk about the forth step - RECOUNT THE TRUE NATURE OF THE BATTLE. In preparation for battle, David doesn't forget what it is all about. "...and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel." Don't you suppose there was a buzz in Israel about David slaying Goliath. It is all about His Glory and not about us. To the extent that we bring glory to our efforts, we shame Him. One of the efforts I am involved with locally is Lanierfest, a Rick Gage Crusade. I have to catch myself, because one of my duties is to help raise the 6 figure budget. At the same time I am trying to raise funds for the expansion of Business Life Today's ministry to the 2nd community (Anderson, SC) of what I envision will be 100 communities by the end of the decade. It is not a zero sum game. God has more than enough resources to fund both efforts. All we have to do is keep focused on Him. Give Him the Glory. When faced with the insurmountable, the man of God
